Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Puppy Weight Estimator ("Puppy Weight Estimator," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service may handle, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

This policy covers the Puppy Weight Estimator website, calculator, growth charts, guides, account features, and related communications. It describes the current Service and may be updated when the Service, its providers, or applicable requirements change.

1. Information we handle

1.1 Calculator information

The public calculator may ask for information such as a puppy's age, current weight, and expected adult-size category. The calculation is designed to run in your browser, and we do not intentionally send those calculator values to our application server merely to produce the displayed estimate.

Please do not enter names, contact details, veterinary records, or other sensitive personal information into the calculator. If you choose to send information to us separately, such as in an email or account feature, that information is handled as described below.

1.2 Account and service information

If you create an account or use an account feature, we may handle information needed to create and secure the account, such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, team information, session information, and messages you send to us. The exact information depends on the feature you use.

If you use a paid feature, a payment provider may process payment details. We do not intend to store your full payment-card number on our own application servers.

1.3 Technical and usage information

Our hosting and security infrastructure may receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the Service, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, request time, referring page, error information, and the page or resource requested.

When you give analytics consent, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may receive usage and interaction information about the site. Analytics providers are not loaded for the site until analytics consent is granted. The current deployment does not load advertising scripts. If advertising or another optional third-party service is added, we will update this policy and the available consent choices before enabling it. We do not use the calculator result as a diagnosis or as a medical profile.

1.4 Communications

If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and the contact details needed to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive veterinary or health information unless it is necessary for your question.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
  • create and protect accounts when account features are used;
  • respond to questions, support requests, and security reports;
  • understand errors and improve the calculator, guides, and user experience;
  • measure site usage when you have opted in to analytics;
  • prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the public calculator to make decisions about a person's eligibility, credit, employment, insurance, or access to services.

The site may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember your consent choice, or to support optional analytics. The site stores your consent choice in browser storage so it can remember your preference.

Analytics and other optional technologies are off by default on a new visit. If you reject analytics or do not choose analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity should not be loaded for that visit. The current deployment does not use advertising scripts. If you opt in to an optional provider, that provider may process technical and usage information under its own privacy terms and may use its own cookies or similar technologies.

You can withdraw consent by changing the available consent preference, clearing the site's stored data in your browser, or contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not change processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Browser settings can also be used to block or delete cookies, although some essential functionality may then work differently.

4. When we share information

We may share information with providers that help us operate the Service, only as reasonably necessary for their role. Depending on the features you use, these providers may include:

  • hosting, storage, security, and infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare;
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, only when analytics consent permits them to load;
  • authentication or OAuth providers when you choose an external sign-in method;
  • payment providers when you start a paid transaction; and
  • email or communication providers when we send service messages or respond to you.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the Service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets. We do not control the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from the Service.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Service, to maintain security, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal and accounting obligations. Calculator values used only in the browser are not treated as an account record by the calculator itself.

Retention periods can vary by feature, provider, and legal requirement. We do not promise that every copy or backup will be deleted immediately after a request, but we will handle valid deletion requests according to applicable law and our operational requirements.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a privacy request, use the Contact page and describe the request and the email address or account it relates to. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the Service to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please choose a unique password where passwords are used and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

8. International processing

The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable, we will use the safeguards required by law for international transfers. Third-party providers may have additional information about their own processing locations and safeguards.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children in a way that is inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is material, we may provide an additional notice where appropriate.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, please use the Contact page for the current contact details.

Nothing in this policy limits privacy rights or protections that apply to you under applicable law.
